The story behind the design
The artwork celebrates The Black Castle, the 1952 American horror film directed by Nathan H. Juran and starring Richard Greene, Boris Karloff, Stephen McNally, Rita Corday and Lon Chaney Jr. Its story of a sinister count, mysterious disappearances and a dangerous escape gives this retro movie poster design its gothic atmosphere.
