This design comes from the original GAS T Shirts Wembley series. Malcolm McLaren commissioned a set of designs for the show, and with less than a week and no formal design brief, the artwork was developed from hand-cut stencil interpretations in the basement of the W9 shop. The first black garments were printed by hand, cured with hand irons, and delivered to the stadium after three 24-hour print shifts.
