Glastonbury CND Fest 1984 'End of World' T-Shirt
The 'END OF THE WORLD' shirt. The only design that was printed in simple colours and based on the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament logo. It was created as an all over design but the modern technology 'print-on-demand' methodology does not allow for this, so we have had to resort to a representation. This is the fourth in the GLASTONBURY COLLECTION which covers the period from 1981 to 1985 when GREAT ALTERNATIVE STORES produced the official festival shirts for the festival. The original was screen printed and the colours in the design merged together. This reproduction will be sharper but more distinct. They were all produced by using hand cut stencils...no photoshop here. I had turned up as the last minute driver for T Rex in Mark Bolan’s zebra stripe flock covered Cadillac at the first one in 1970 and stayed to watch, wearing my blue satin shirt made for Jimmy Hendrix who had died the day before. Entry to the festival was £1.
