Wash instructions for 100% ring spun cotton T Shirts
Wash your 100% ring-spun cotton jersey t-shirt inside out in cold water (30°C) with like colors on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach. To prevent shrinkage, air dry flat or tumble dry on low heat, and iron inside out
For the best preservation of your shirt, follow these detailed care tips:
- Prep for the Wash: Turn the t-shirt inside out. This protects the weave from friction, prevents pilling, and preserves any screen-printed graphics or colour vibrancy.
- Machine Settings: Always use a cold-water setting (around 30°C) to prevent shrinking and colour fading. Select the delicate or gentle cycle and avoid overloading the machine so the fabric has room to move freely.
- Detergent Choice: Go for a mild, eco-friendly, or delicate detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach and heavy-duty stain removers, which can weaken the fine, soft fiber ring-spun cotton.
- Drying: Air drying is the safest method to avoid shrinkage and fabric stress. Lay the shirt flat on a clean towel or hang it up. If you must use a machine, tumble dry on a low heat setting and remove the shirt while it is still slightly damp.
- Ironing: If your jersey is creased, iron it on the reverse side (inside out) using a low to medium heat. Avoid placing the iron directly over printed design
