GAS is proud to produce a range of T Shirts for this fantastically preserved castle in Skipton. Its condition was the result of Northern good manners when the Parliamentary New Model Army allowed the Royalists to surrender peacefully after a 3 year siege.
The only consequence was a requirement to weaken the fortifications. The castle was gifted to the Clifford family by Long Shanks, Edward II in 1310 and has remained in the family ever since.
Skipton Castle is open daily to visitors and their interest helps to maintain the structure of the castle and grounds. A limited range of the shirts are available in the castle shop and more extensively online HERE.
